A little bit about me...

I believe in time managed, focussed training, which is specific and targeted, but most of all enjoyable and fun!!

  • I have over 20 years coaching experience on a individual athlete level and within a Club environment

  • I have been a coach at Cardiff Triathletes for the past 8 years

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer 

  • Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) trainer, Fitness Testing, Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) 

  • Level 2 British Triathlon Coach

  • Level 2 British Cycling Coach

  • Over the years I have coached athletes from many different sports, backgrounds and abilities – triathlon (from first timer to Ironman, Standard and Sprint, European and World Championships) , road cycling, Mountain bike (cross country and downhill disciplines), running (first time 5km runners through to ultra-distance runners), and Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) World Championship racing

  • GB Age Group triathlete in Sprint, Standard and Long Distance at European and World Championships


From an early age I loved exercise and the joy of doing something outdoors. I started karate at 8 years of age, and passed the grades to gain my green belt. In secondary school I took up hockey as it looked different and challenged me to learn a new skill. I was honoured to be selected at Senior Schools Level and represent Wales at the Home Nations Championships. In my early 20’s I started mountain bike racing, competing at National Series Level, before moving across to road racing. Needing a new challenge, I started triathlon racing.


Using my knowledge as a coach and the training principles I adhere to, I was able to complete 4 x IM UK (top 100 finishers and 10hrs 30mins), compete at the Age Group World and European Long Distance Championships, as well as numerous UK based middle distance events. I then needed a new challenge and applying the same coaching principles, changed my training focus and schedule, and have now competed at Age Group World and European Sprint and Standard Distance Championships.
